HRD Ministry Announcement - All CBSC Students Promoted to Next Standard
In view of the current situation due to #COVID19, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Minister of Human Resource Development, directed to CBSC (Central Board of Secondary Education) to promote all students studying in the next classes as follows :-
- all 1st-8th standard students will be promoted directly to the next Class/Grade/Standard without conduct any examination.
- all 9th & 11th standard will be promoted to next class/grade/standard based on the school-based assessments including projects, periodic tests, term exams, etc. conducted so far.
- Students those not promoted this time can appear in school-based test/s, online or offline.
- 10th & 12th board examinations will be conducted only for 29 main subjects that are required to promote for admission in Higher Education Level.
Dr. Nishank announced in their series of tweets…

“Students studying in classes IX & XI will be promoted to next class/grade based on the school-based assessments including projects, periodic tests, term exams, etc. conducted so far.
Students not promoted this time can appear in school-based test/s, online or offline.”
“Please note: As & when the Board is in a position to hold examinations, it shall conduct examinations for the 29 subjects by giving adequate notice.”
“The @cbseindia29 to conduct board examinations only for 29 main subjects that are required for promotion & maybe crucial for admissions in HEIs ”
